Hello, my name is Oğulcan, a 32-year-old from Muğla, Turkey. My background is in traditional dance, having studied at the State Conservatory. Although active on the internet since 2007, major social media platforms don’t really appeal to me these days, with the exception of Bluesky and YouTube. Instead, the focus right now is on building my own digital space.
Laziness and a lifelong struggle to finish projects have definitely shaped my path. For instance, college took a full decade to complete, which included dropping out of veterinary school in my third year. Attention issues have taken my life in unconventional directions, meaning I’m not an expert in any single thing. Titles and status hold no interest for me; keeping things simple is the ultimate goal.
Money isn’t a priority either. My earnings go directly to my wife to provide for her and our daughter, leaving domains and cigarettes as my only personal expenses. When it comes to writing, focusing long enough to figure out what to say is tough, which is why the concept of a digital garden feels like a much better fit for my mind.
Beyond that, research, biology, and especially music are deep passions—life without a soundtrack would be completely meaningless. Keeping up with new technologies and apps is always fun, along with a slight obsession for hunting down great usernames and domains. To top it off, my wife—a strict, disciplined pianist trained in the Russian tradition—praises my music taste and collection. Hearing that from her makes me the happiest person in the world.
I don’t have a lengthy biography. That’s all I have to say.
