Hi, I’m Oğulcan. I live in Muğla, Turkey, with my wife and daughter. My life has never really followed a straight line, and I’ve gradually stopped expecting it to.

I studied traditional Turkish folk dance at the State Conservatory, performed in several countries, taught music, spent a few years studying veterinary medicine, and somewhere along the way became far more interested in the web than I ever expected. Maybe that’s part of why this site exists.

This is my own small space online. I keep projects, notes, tools, music, unfinished ideas, and interesting things I come across here. Some stay with me for years. Others seem incredibly important for a few days and then quietly disappear from my mind.

I’ve been online since around 2007. Over time, I became less interested in spending my life inside large platforms and more interested in having a place I could shape myself, change whenever I wanted, and keep for as long as I wanted.

I’m especially drawn to things that are still early: personal websites, domain names, digital identity, new technology, small tools, and overlooked corners of the web. What interests me most is that short period before something becomes obvious to everyone else.

A new namespace. A tiny protocol. An obscure tool. A username nobody thinks is worth claiming yet. I like finding things while they still look unimportant and wondering whether they might become completely ordinary years from now.

I’m not an engineer, and I don’t pretend to be one. I’m usually more interested in what technology might change than in the machinery underneath it. I like understanding what something could become, who might use it, and why it might matter.

My attention moves quickly, and my life has mostly followed it. University took longer than I expected. Veterinary school ended halfway through. My computer is full of ideas that felt incredibly important for a few days and then were replaced by something else.

I used to think that meant I lacked direction. These days, I see it differently. I’m curious about too many things, sometimes to a fault, and that curiosity has probably shaped my life more than any long-term plan ever has.

Titles, status, and looking successful have never meant much to me. I prefer a fairly simple life, and when everything else is stripped away, my wife and daughter matter more to me than any project, website, or idea.

Music is the one constant. It has always been there, regardless of what else I happened to be doing at the time.

My wife is a classically trained pianist in the Russian tradition, so when she likes a song I’ve found or tells me my music collection is good, I take the compliment seriously. It’s a small thing, but it genuinely makes me happy.

This site will probably never be finished, and I don’t really want it to be. Some parts will grow, others will stay untouched for years, and a few will probably remain half-finished forever.

That’s fine.

I don’t need this place to look complete. I want it to feel like mine.
